About
Dr Jithendran Kokkranikal is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism Management at the Greenwich University. He is the Programme Leader for the MA in International Tourism Management within the Greenwich Business School.Earlier, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Tourism at the Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies and a Lecturer in Tourism at the University of Strathclyde.
His research interests are broadly in the areas of tourism development and human resource issues in tourism. He is particularly interested in studying tourism development issues in developing countries. Dr Kokkranikal has published his work in peer-reviewed research journals. He has also presented papers at international conferences and contributed chapters to edited books.
His current research focus on the formal and informal community networks in tourism destinations and decentralised planning in tourism.
